Ordering & Information

Order Process

After an initial chat either in person or online I can give you a rough guide price for your wedding cake.  Some gallery photographs have prices to help you.  There are many factors to consider when pricing your cake. How many portions, level of decoration, delivery, distance and much more.  If you are happy to continue then the next stage is to secure your date. This requires a minimum of a £50 non-refundable deposit and I work on a first come first served basis. Your date & order is not confirmed until your deposit has been received.

The next stage is then to discuss all of the details.  A consultation will be arranged where we can discuss your colour scheme, theme of your wedding, type of venue and any other information that may be relevant.

I will then work on designing your cake, providing you with sketches to help you visualise your final design.  Once your design has been decided, the final decision to make are the flavours.  To help with this decision I will send you a selection of cake samples for you to taste in the comfort of your own home. These will be a selection of the most popular flavours. We can then discuss your favourites or any other flavours you might like.

If you would prefer to receive a sample box before booking then this can be provided.  There will be a charge of £25. This charge will then be deducted from the cost of your cake if you decide to go ahead with your order. Alternatively you can taste samples at any wedding fayres that I may be attending. Please see the events page.

Final payments must be made no later than 4 weeks before your wedding date.

All of my prices will include free delivery & set up to your venue (within a 10 mile radius) plus your choice of sponge cake flavours – fruit cakes are priced separately

Delivery further away is available for an additional fee.

I hope to work with you in the near future

Wedding Cake Portions Guide

Portions are based on the industry standard of 1″x1″ wedding slices
(Average tiers are 4-5 inches deep).

This table shows the most popular sizes.

I would suggest you order a cake large enough to cater for 70-80% of your guests. Not everyone will want cake.  If you have decided to have your wedding cake as the main dessert then larger portions will be required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you do egg/dairy/gluten free cakes?

Unfortunately I do not currently offer special dietary cakes. I do also work in a kitchen that may contain nuts or nut products

Do you have a price list?

Each cake is priced individually depending on your own personal requirements. Some gallery photos have been priced to help.

Do you deliver?

I personally deliver and set up all of my wedding cakes. Local deliveries are free. Additional charges apply to deliveries further afield which would be discussed when quoting.

Do you do free samples?

I provide complimentary samples to all of my couples who have already confirmed their booking.  If you would prefer to receive a sample box before booking then this can be provided for a fee of £25.  This charge will then be deducted from the cost of your cake if you decide to go ahead with your order. Alternatively you can taste samples at any wedding fayres that I may be attending. Please see the events page.

When should I book my wedding cake?

I would advise you to book as soon as you have confirmed your venue.  In order for me to maintain a high standard I only take on one wedding cake booking per week so dates are limited. I can occasionally accommodate last minute wedding cake orders during quieter seasons. Please check for availability.

Do you make celebration cakes?

Wedding cakes keep me pretty busy so I don’t often have the time for celebration cakes. I do still make cupcake bouquets & the occasional celebration cake in quieter times. I no longer make novelty or children’s character cakes.
